Ethan Crosby

My name is Ethan Crosby. I am a co-founder and the CEO of SymphonyMR, which is building a mixed reality operating system for the operating room, and an affiliate member of the Surreality Lab led by Dr. Jacob Biehl and Dr. Edward Andrews. I earned my BPhil in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information in 2026, where my research focused on human-computer interaction, primarily in the medical domain.

Beyond computer science, my background spans electrical and mechanical engineering, spatial and geospatial computing, digital media and human-centered design, and I’ve worked on interdisciplinary research teams across those fields.
